Portland Boys Varsity Soccer continued league play yesterday with a 9-1 win over Charlotte. The Raiders didn’t waste any time from the beginning and scored five goals in the first twenty minutes of play. Tate Dziewiatkowski got his 25 goal of the season to break Portland boys soccer school record for most goals in a single season. He would score again later in the game to put the record currently at 26 goals. The wealth of goals was spread out in the game as four other players would score during the course of the game.
Florian Klindt would tally four goals for the Raiders. He now stands at 22 goals on the season. Unai Gerrikabeitia, Johann Boettger, and Carlos Casas all scored goals for the Raiders as well.
Boys Soccer is now 12-0 on the season and 3-0 in the CAAC White. The Raiders will finish league play next week and will face Lansing Catholic home on Thursday which is anticipated to be a showdown for the CAAC White Division title as both team are undefeated in the league. Boys soccer will be playing for their first league title in school history.
