Boys Freshmen Finish the Season 14-6

The Freshman basketball team finished the season off strong with two more wins. First a win over Olivet 54-31. Second was a win over Mason 51-32. Great team efforts by everyone offensively and defensively. A great season for the boys finishing 14-6.

Freshmen Boys Continue Winning Ways

Boys freshman basketball took two league wins this week, first beating Eaton Rapids 44-30. Nice effort by all with Brody Smith, Zach Pier and David Svanda leading the offense. Boys Varsity Gets Huge League Win on the Road

The varsity boys basketball team improved its record to 7-6 overall and 5-2 in the conference with a 65-48 win at Fowlerville on Friday night.  The Raiders led by 5 points at the half but used a 21-12 third quarter advantage to extend the lead.  Brett Patrick led the way with 17 points while Owen

Freshmen Boys Basketball Wins 5th in a Row

Portland freshmen boys beat Fowlerville 53-39 behind a nice offense game from Zach Pier and hard working Andrew Seavey.  Great team effort on defense.  This win marks the boys’ fifth in a row and they are now 9-3 overall. 

JV Boys Basketball Goes 4-1 in 5 Game Stretch

The JV Boys basketball team just completed a very tough 5 game in 10 days stretch with a 4-1 record.  Last week Tuesday, the Raiders defeated Leslie by a score of 37-28.  On Thursday, they avenged an early season loss defeating league rival, Ionia, 32-25.  This week they continued that forward momentum by beating Lakewood

Freshmen Boys Bball Wins Two More

Portland beat Lakewood 53-20 behind a nice effort from Andrew Seavey and Ryan Halfmann. Chris Walker had a nice defensive game. Portland also beat Haslett in a big win 53-34. Nice offensive game from Blake Meyers and Áryan Virk. Brody Smith also helped out offensively and controlled the glass for the Raiders.

Boys Varsity Basketball Wins Third in a Row!

The boys varsity basketball team has won its last three games to improve to 6 and 5 on the season.  Last Friday the Raiders traveled to Ionia and pulled out a hard fought 48 – 45 victory over the Bulldogs.  Brett Patrick led the way by scoring 10 of his game high 23 points in

Boys Varsity and Freshmen Basketball Beat Leslie

The boys varsity basketball team improved to 4-5 on the season with a 48-37 win at Leslie last night.  The Raiders were led by Brett Patrick’s 15 points while Bobby Brandsen scored 10 to go along with eight rebounds.  Defensively the Raiders held Leslie to 14 second half points led by the energetic Cole McGregor

Portland beat Fowler 67-24 behind a good team effort, offense was lead by the hot shooting of Josh Pung along some nice assists and points from Chris Walker. Defensively Cade Simon was the wall-side window player of the game with 11 rebounds.
